Rick Eberle began his music career at the tender age of 11 when he put together two self penned compositions
"Good Year" and "My Friends" on a video recording for an elementary school project. His first guitar chords and only lessons
were taught to him by his mother Teri, a folk musician in her own right, and his cousin Sean Llewellyn. Rick played his
first live show in 1992 with his high school band, Subourbon Exitus, featuring Lee Diamond on drums. The band took third place
behind former Roadrunner Recording artists Vision Of Disorder in the Battle Of The Bands playing covers by Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam
and some of his original material. The next year Rick teamed up with his cousin Sean for the band Twelfth Night, who took first place
in battle of the Bands and most importantly where Rick played his first show in New York City. In 1993, Twelfth Night disbanded and
Rick began playing with his sister, Tara who had just gotten bitten by the songwriting bug, forming the legendary band Iridesense. Sean
initially played drums for them, making it truly a family affair! In January 1994, Iridesense in its present form came to be with
the addition of drummer Rich Drouin, their first gig being Rick's final High School Battle of the Bands in which they placed first once again.
From 1994 to the present, iridesense has become one of the country's most successful independent acts having played for 13,000 sports
fans as between period entertainment at a New York Islanders NHL game, becoming semi finalists (top 20 out of 1000's of entries nationwide)
in the National "Be A Radio Star" Competition where they recieved airplay in rotation at Z100 radio in NYC in addition to a nationally broadcast
radio interview with Elvis Duran from the Z Morning Zoo. They were also Semi Finalists in the American Music Awards "New Music Award" Contest,
and have amassed many TV, Radio and print interviews and appearances, tour dates across the US, and performances as support slots for nationally
renowned acts such as Eddie Money, Gin Blossoms, Something Corporate, Sugar Ray, Fountains Of Wayne, Fefe Dobson, Men At Work, Duncan Sheik and
countless others. The band has three indie releases, "Cool Dream Tomorrow" (Rock Diva Records), "Iridesense" (LLJ Records) & "Gasoline" (PopCore Recordings)
and have been featured in numerous compilations. They have an album slated for a spring 2005 release. Rick's solo efforts began as a compliment to
the band's touring/recording schedule with a support slot for Tonic at the Downtown in his home base of Long Island, NY. His new solo recordings
can only be found at shows, just computer burned copies of soul baring, introspective acoustic gold. Rick was able to fulfill a goal this year by
playing a gig with one of his musical idols, Edwin McCain. He recently played the Columbus street fair in NYC and recieved an outstanding write up
in the prestigious Village Voice. His full recorded CD will be available in early 2005, and the first chapter will be written in the new book.
