The Equation / 2008

GenreAlternative
Price$12
DescriptionListeners to ‘The Equation’ may find themselves drawn deeply into overdriven, fuzz rock soundscapes and alternately, pristine psychedelic atmospheres as we chronicle the spiritual de-evolution of our protagonist. The music may at times invoke the influence of Queens of the Stone Age, at other times The Flaming Lips or Radiohead, building on modern rock, progressive, and 70s rock tendencies. The Equation was recorded and mixed over two months at Big Red Studio in Corbett, OR, unlikely home of Windam Hill recording artist and new age violinist, Billy Oskay, formerly of Nightnoise. The album was produced by local rock producer (and drummer) Jason Rieve using (almost) exclusively analog and vintage recording technique and gear, and mastered by local rock guru Sean Norton.

Sasquatch? / 2005

GenreAlternative
Price$0
Description"Sasquatch?", the debut album by Oxcart, is an atmospheric slice of space rock, with layers that are dense and detailed. On songs like 730 Days, they show a real skill in steeping their music in claustrophobic detachment, while cloaked within an intense sonic backdrop." Matt Slesser, Pabst Blue Ribbon Live and Local feature, 9/14/05
