Currently, Oxcart is transcribing the story of the holy
scriptures of the robojesus; a volume delivered to
Earth in the sands of a meaningless desert, beneath the
stars.
Our protagonist was found driving in a hatchback datsun,
alone and unclothed save for a walrus tie. In that
moment of awakening, he knew that he had lived, loved,
gambled and suffered, and has decided that he must now
find meaning in a world of conspicuous displays of
consumption and overly compensatory behavior.
He must find the answer to his question eternal,

Description
Listeners to ‘The Equation’ may find themselves drawn deeply into overdriven, fuzz rock soundscapes and alternately, pristine psychedelic atmospheres as we chronicle the spiritual de-evolution of our protagonist. The music may at times invoke the influence of Queens of the Stone Age, at other times The Flaming Lips or Radiohead, building on modern rock, progressive, and 70s rock tendencies.
The Equation was recorded and mixed over two months at Big Red Studio in Corbett, OR, unlikely home of Windam Hill recording artist and new age violinist, Billy Oskay, formerly of Nightnoise. The album was produced by local rock producer (and drummer) Jason Rieve using (almost) exclusively analog and vintage recording technique and gear, and mastered by local rock guru Sean Norton.
"Sasquatch?", the debut album by Oxcart, is an atmospheric slice of space rock, with layers that are
dense and detailed. On songs like 730 Days, they show a real skill in steeping their music in
claustrophobic detachment, while cloaked within an intense sonic backdrop." Matt Slesser, Pabst Blue
