Biography Off The Island is a new band whose original, eclectic, and grooving sound is capable of capturing the ear of any listener. Originating in Hollywood, California, their style incorporates elements of pop, funk, jazz, rock, R&B, blues, and more, making for songs and performances that are as catchy as they are unpredictable. It is, therefore, no surprise that the band members hail from across the globe, with vocalist Laura Vall Arnau and guitarist Ignacio de Olivar Romeo from Spain, keyboardist Hayan Cheng and bassist Sang-Do Han from Korea, and drummer Josh Cohn from the United States. Off The Island's wide array of influences can be heard in both the performance and composition of its original material, as the band has been compared to artists such as Steely Dan, Alicia Keys, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Tom Waits. Off The Island has performed in some of the most emblematic theaters and venues of Los Angeles, as the Wiltern Theater, the Music Box (Henry Fonda Theater) and the House of Blues with a great success.
